I purchased the vehicle from Ebay two years ago. I do not have authorization to publish names but I have documents to 1982 that the vehicle was originally purchased in Oakland, CA and remained there until I purchased it from a person who had it for 4 months.
The car is in pristine condition overall, runs fabulous and does not leak or drink a drop of oil even after 107,000 odd miles. I only drive it on beautiful days, taking the step grandkids with me. I also place it on a trailer behind my Bluebird Wanderlodge for camping trips. It may see rain then but that is just water. I plan to purchase an enclosed trailer for the travel purpose which will double as a garage when on the road.
Cosmetically, I may pull the engine at some future date and pamper it a bit. That is only paint and a little time. Unfortunately, after that it will become a trailer queen. I wonder about that! Then I cannot drive it. I didn't buy it to place in Barrett Jackson although it could end up there one day.
This vehicle has zero rust, is totally original except for one repaint and new front leather seats from a Volvo enthusiast in the US.
I have two factory a/c units that I expect to piece together, restore and install. I hope that will not reduce the value of the vehicle, but you know I like cool air and it is hot here right now.
I do have a stress crack in the original windscreen and would like to locate the correct dated windscreen. I also have a slight nick(I do mean slight) in the stainless on the RR quarter upper panel that runs from the passenger door to the rear tail light. I am looking for both.
I do not have the original window sticker but follows the general numbers on the vehicle.
