Volvo cars are being build in factories in Sweden, Netherlands and Belgium, however there are (and have been) assembly plants in other countries that are building Volvo cars from CKD (Completely Knocked Down) packs shipped to these countries for assembly:

There are many boat assembly plants and factories in Europe and Asia as well. They are all held to the boat safety requirements as the factories in the United States. Many of the Volvo engine parts made in Sweden are assembled in the U.S. for installation on to sportfishing boats.
